There are 2 ways to save audio clips: 1 is Easy : 1 is Advanced
The Easy Way
You can press the Search Button on the top navigation.

Then navigate to the “Audio” tab.

In the search bar, enter any word in that language you’re learning.
And you’ll get back results of sentences with audio clips.

Note: Currently, many of our clips come from Tatoeba.org. However, there are a growing number of clips made by other Mezasu.com members who use our Advanced Tool.
The Advanced Way
This feature is currently available for Desktop User Only.
While watching videos, you’ll noticed a Red Button next to the play and skip buttons.

This button allows you to record audio directly from videos.
AKA – You can make your own learning material.
You record the part you want to practice.
Select the sentence from the captions.
Then save to use in either Flashcards or Mimic Review.
All audio clips made on Mezasu.com are added to a public database for everyone to enjoy. So the more you save the more you help others as well.
How to Use the Audio Clips
There are 2 main methods you can use to right now.
- #1 – The Mimic Method
- #2 – My Favorite Method (I’ll tell you more about this shortly, but…)
Before I explain those, let me answer how you even save audio clips in the first place.
Method #1 – Mimic Method
The first method is for speaking practice – even if you don’t have a partner.
It’s simple.

- Listen to the audio you clipped.
- Record yourself speaking that same phrase.
- Compare.
Easy, right?
Method #2 – My Favorite Method
This is the reason I made this application in the first place.
I like flashcards, however, I do them a bit different.
There are 2 Review Decks in Mezasu.com (Vocabulary & Sentences).
Vocabulary Deck: Save images, write notes / mnemonics, and add sample sentences for every vocabulary card.

Sentences
Sentences Deck: Turn your vocabulary into usable sentences. (And add your audio clips for extra immersion).

The key part is that you can add your clips to these cards.
These are sentences that:
- You picked.
- Has context to something you have watched.
- Directly taken from native content.
It’s the best combination to learn a language.
And the best part, we use a Spaced Repetition System to make sure you review the cards right before you are about to forget them.
You can review these cards until they flow like a song stuck in your head. π

Challenge
For conversational fluency: Aim to understand 6,000 sentences.
That might seem like a lot! But these sentences could easily add up by shifting around words and phrases you already know:
- I like dogs.
- I like to go swimming.
- I like playing sports.
- I like my mom’s cooking.
- I like learning languages.
Imagine learning all of these phrases with native audio!
This is what language learning pros like to call: Sentence Mining
